Nadkarni Hospital is a FOGSI recognized centre for training in IVF and various other Assisted Reproductive Techniques Training. We have successfully conducted a lot of basic and comprehensive infertility training programs.Our Training Courses Cover comprehensive areas of A.R.T (IUI – IVF – ET – ICSI), Vaginal USG / Colour Doppler and Operative Endoscopy.

From the year 2012 our centre has been given permission to offer 6 month Fellowship in Reproductive Medicine by Indian College Of Obstetrician and Gynecologist (ICOG)

Our institute offers training for Gynecologist who are keen to start their own IVF centre. We take credit for teaching with passion and giving Hand on Ovum Pickup to our students.

4 Weeks Fellowship Program of “Advanced Infertility & ART”

Training program includes,

1. Andrology: Here you will have hands on experience of..

  • Sperm counting
  • Semen processing for IUI/IVF/ICSI/retrieved sperm
  • Hands on IUI
  • Cryopreservation of sperm & embryo & eggs
  • Thawing – sperm banking

2. Embryology-IVF

  • You will trained for selecting ideal protocol
  • Hands on experience with ovum pick up
  • Trained to identify OCC
  • Experience to handle unfertile embryos
  • How to do ET, embryo loading experience, freezing, thawing & vitrification process

3. USG-Infertility related USG

  • Ovulation, COH monitoring, Color Doppler, Pulse Doppler studying, early pregnancy, Targetted USG, Color Doppler in Obs. Gyn will be trained with hands on experience

4. Endoscopy- Diagnostic+operative

  • You will be assisting and learning yourself on patients as well as pelvi trainer.

5. OPD

  • How to take history, which investigations why, how to convince patient for IVF/ICSI, cost effective IVF will be trained on patients and with patients, patient counseling-in failed case

6. PGD, PGS, Assisted hatching, Cryofreezing of embryos, thawing, PESA, TESE procedure will be demonstrated.

6 Months ICOG Certification Course in Reproductive Medicine

From the year 2012 our centre has been given permission to offer 6 month Fellowship in Reproductive Medicine by Indian College of Obstetrician and Gynecologist (ICOG).

1 week introductory Embryology training for beginners in IVF- ICSI and Andrology

Andrology Laboratory Techniques

  • How to set up Andrology Laboratory and what are the equipment required?
  • Handling, cleaning, maintenance and calibration of different equipment-Laminar Flow workstation, Microscopes, Centrifuges, etc.
  • Comprehensive semen analysis-Macroscopic and Microscopic-density, motility, viability, round cell differentiation etc.
  • Sperm morphology assessment according to WHO and Strict (Kruger) criteria.
  • Sperm survival test.
  • Semen cryopreservation-both neat and processed sample.
  • Semen preparation for IUI-Classical method, Standard method and Density gradient method.

  • Identification of granulose cells, cumulus and corona cells and oocytes
  • Separation of oocytes and further culture
  • Preparation of semen for insemination of oocytes-processing of ejaculated semen
  • Method of oocyte insemination-short co-incubation, etc
  • Dissection of oocytes and fertilization check
  • Criteria for fertilization check
  • Day – 1 Fertilization check, classification of zygotes and further culture
  • Evaluation of different zygote morphology using digital pictures
  • Day 2 – Assessment of embryo cleavage and identification of good embryos
  • Day 3 – Assessment of cleavage and selection of best quality embryos for transfer
  • Day 5/6- Blastocyst culture -technique
